To Pakistanis: Italy Convicts CIA Chief

In at least two Pakistani cities, undercover US intelligence operatives have been arrested by Pakistani police. These American operatives are running an undercover operation in Pakistan that uses the cover of the US Embassy. On at least three occasions, these operatives, who presented themselves as US 'diplomats', were roaming Pakistani streets in cars with fake number plates and wearing Afghan dresses and sporting Taliban-style beards. Most importantly, these operatives were carrying sophisticated weapons that were not licensed to the US Embassy. Four such US 'diplomats' were arrested a few hours before the arrival of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Pakistan. When asked about the incident, she said she had no idea who those people were and what exactly they were doing. She was not lying. This is a standard procedure for US diplomats when US intelligence operatives get busted. Pakistani civilian and military officials have enough evidence of the illegal activities of CIA in both Pakistan and Afghanistan, where the American spy agency is using the help of Karzai's and India's spy outfits. Can Pakistan learn to stand for itself?

  1. There is little we can expect from the gang of traitors controlling the government of Pakistan. What I cannot understand, however, is the strange silence of our military and ISI. I am sure they have all the evidence to convict the culprits in Pakistan's courts. This is a test for our independent Judiciary as well.

    (i) Can our Supreme Court follow the example of Italy and dispense simple, plain JUSTICE, disregarding the pressure exerted by the Americans and their lackeys in Pakistan?

(ii) The SC, I think, is perfectly placed to take away Pakistan president's immunity from prosecution. What is preventing it taking that step?

The journalists in the know, those who have access to evidence to convict the conspirators, should present that evidence before the Supreme Court. It is the duty of the military that these brave souls come to no harm as a result of their attempt to unveil the enemies of Pakistan.

In the final analysis, ARE WE HEADING FOR A BLOODY SHOWDOWN BETWEEN PAKISTAN"S ARMY AND THE AMERICAN MERCENARIES WHO HAVE FLOODED OUR COUNTRY OVER THE LAST 2-3 YEARS?

  2. It has to learn to stand up for itself. It's high time. There's no other choice. How much longer are we going to just sit by and watch it all happen?? We've raised the rhetoric enough...always discussing how the leadership is inefficient and inept. Now is the time to move beyond all this. And first and foremost we NEED to become the change we want to see in this country. To answer Mr.Quraishi's question---yes the timing couldn't be any more perfect. We need to revive the foundations on which this country came into being. That ideology in itself is the balm of these wounds we're inflicted with.
