Fighting Pakistan Through SMS Messages

Two reports say a lot about India's intentions for peace with Pakistan.

One is a campaign launched by the Indian government to discourage Indian citizens from calling their friends and acquaintances in Pakistan. If you are an Indian and you call Pakistan using your cellphone, you will receive a text message from your service provider that says:

"You just made a call to ISD Code 0092 (Pakistan’s international dialing code). We urge you to exercise caution while calling unknown numbers and sharing personal details as it can be misused."

[See the report Anti-Pakistan SMS campaign launched in India.]

There is more.  Earlier this month, Afghan resistance groups attacked and killed several Indian civilian and military officers in Kabul.  A few hours later, five Pakistani construction workers were brutally murdered near Kandahar.  No awards for guessing who was behind it. Not India of course which is only investing a billion dollars in Afghan resconstruction for no reason except charity and has no other kind of presence on Afghan soil.

Too bad that a Pakistani newspaper, the Daily Mail, came out with a fairly credible evidence of the Indian fingerprints in the Pakistanis' murder: see RAW’s Chhota Rajan goons kill 5 Pakistani workers in Kandahar .

The American and British media -- what I call the Am-Brit media -- routinely portrays India as a country striving for peace and whose good intentions are thwarted by Pakistan.  The reality is that way before the Mumbai attacks and any alleged Pakistani connection to them, Indian military intelligence officers burned alive 59 Pakistanis aboard a so-called friendship train who believed official propaganda and decided to visit India to further peace. This happened in 2006.  New Delhi accused ISI of masterminding the attacks to sabotage peace. Today, a group of Hindu terrorists and serving Indian military officers are on trial in the case.

I won't talk about 1971 and how India launched a one-sided unprovoked invasion of East Pakistan exploiting a domestic post-election crisis.

And now, when sanity appears to be gradually returning to Washington, where warmongers have taken a backseat to those who can see a looming defeat in Afghanistan, Indians will do anything now to perpectuate war in Afghanistan and try to convicne Washington and London to stay the course.

All of this brings into question the theory that peace tops Indian strategy in the region.

  1. Ahmed Qureshi once again comes up with a new theory. At times when we are trying to build good relations with our neighbors, such theories do not help the cause. We need to avoid any notion that spreads hate for anyone.

  2. The John Le Carre of Pak AQ is a well known novelist. Bred since childhoodon a healthy dose of anti-Indianism daily, what can AQ be expected to deliver? Doves of peace? People like AQ need to introspect and have the guts to call a spade a spade. AQ should read comments of experts, not mullahs and the ISI generals. Rashidbhai put some brain into this guy. AQ tell your webmasters to delete my comments. The comments are true and the truth is bitter.

  3. The Indian agents who are assigned the task of spreading disinformation are wasting their time here. Faceless men like Rashid and Dennis may succeed in stuffing their pockets with Indian rupees but they will deceive no one.

Keep up the good work, Ahmed. The dishonest and hypocritical comments from Pakistan's enemies serve only to uncover those enemies' nefarious designs against Pakistan.

  4. It is only the FREE Pakistani press that allows the hypocrites from other countries to spew out their venom here. The Indian press would never allow it.

Our enemies come here calling us "Paki", a term of abuse that foreigners use in relation to us Pakistanis. Still, we publish their repellent comments. The tolerance of a true Pakistani, and his/her wish to live in peace and harmony, is well known. The evil propaganda of our enemies, and of our own in-house traitors, cannot change the reality. 7. why do bhindians like Dennis and "rashid bhai" keep visiting AQ's blog if they don't think much of it?

So we've got "dennis" (Christian name), we've got "Rashid" (Muslim name), now we wait for a "rajan" or "ramesh" (hindu name) and a "singh" (sikh name) - that way they might be able to feel happy in their fantasy world that "indians are united". What a joke! In fact wouldn't be surprising if one hindustani has created several user names and logs.......loosers!

India is THE most over-hyped word of this decade. The reality is simply that India's poor in merely 8 of its states outnumber the poor in 27 African countries (over 400 million as of July 2010), and similar grim statistics on malnutrition, child starvation, etc. exist. And let's not forget the millions female foetuses aborted in good old "secular" india annually,.....these are the facts which neutral agencies like the UN, WHO, MSF, etc. will talk about.

Mollywood is good tool to sucker 1 billion morons from UP to Kerala to give them their daily "drug dose" to make them forget the grim reality, but unfortunately for Indians reality doesn't change by conjuring up frivolous movies, media mayhem, etc.

Indians: get the $%$#$@ out of Pakistan blogs and try to get a life.
