This is not the first time that Indian extremists have sabotaged crucial peace talks with Pakistan. A nexus of Indian government, military, intelligence and Hindu extremist and terror groups is violently opposed to peace in Pakistan and Kashmir. Time to shed the light on them.
Since the author is an expert on bi-lateral relations and global politics in his opinion, I guess he should know that no matter what happens but with a rational and liberal approach solutions can be found for almost all issues. There are people among our own lines who don’t want peace to support their own agenda.
I don't know why Pakistan bothers to have "composite" dialogues with the Indians??! When something hasn't worked in 60 years, why should it, all of sudden, work now? These composite, decomposed, confidence deficit building, yada, yada, yawn, yawn, talks for the sake of talks are a sheer waste of time, energy for Pakistan. Its delaying tactics used by India so that it can try to distract the world from the real issues it is mired in.
1. Kashmiri men, women, children, elderly, etc. all protesting on the streets and fed up with Indian army occupation, presence and oppression. The world sees it everyday and everyday off late unfortunately protestors are dying from firing by the occupation forces.
2. The number of people living in poverty from just 8 states in India outnumbers the combined people living in poverty from 27 African countries! (over 400 million as of July 2010).
3. Maoist fuerillas have stepped up their campaign against Indian police and army in their lands as they too get fed up with Delhi's exploitation of their land, resources and propganda "Incredible India".
The sad part is that Pakistan has wasted 60+ years in trying to engage with a stubborn, arrogant and patronizing India.
I urge the Pakistan govt. heed the call of the Pakistan nation at large:
1. Snap ALL links with India: rail, road, sea, air, train. End this dramas NOW!
2. Stop issuing visas to all Indians and persons of Indian origin. There have been numerous examples of Indian-origin journalists coming to Pakistan frequently and then weeks later from the safety of their adopted countries, dish out anti-Pakistan reports, sentiments- Fareed Zakaria (Newsweek USA) is a prime example of this breed of morons. He openly insults and maligns Pakistan...but that's not surprising
3. Seal the borders at Wagah, etc.
These will be the first baby-steps towards realizing the dream of the emergence of the "True" Pakistan and an end to the Pakistan hijacked by some elitists on the platform of "culture", "south asia-ism" and "desi-ism" dimensions!
